Our History

Founded in 2015, Mark Young’s mission for myHRcounsel® was clear: build a HR Compliance & Legal Services company that provides businesses advice without legal disclaimers, which meant real legal advice from real attorneys. This was something the CEO & Co-Founder wished he had for himself throughout his career whether in his role as CFO for a Fortune 500 company or as small business owner. He wanted the legal advice at myHRcounsel® to be affordable for all business owners no matter what size, and the price to be predictable every month so it would be easy to budget; and small business owners could avoid unexpected and possibly devastating expenses. Mark had previously worked in a traditional law firm, but his vision for myHRcounsel® was to change the way things had always been done; to level the playing field for all businesses and offer something that had never been done before; like unlimited access to employment attorneys based on a monthly subscription instead of charging by the hour; and guaranteeing an initial response time of 2 hours or less instead of getting lost in voicemail and waiting days sometimes weeks for a response from an attorney. When all was said and done, he created the Legal Advice Evolved™ you receive at myHRcounsel®.
